I’m an artist who’s not real sure of what he’s doing, but I do know this much: I’ve spent a good chunk of my life composing music for a storyline nobody knows; I’ve created visuals of a world I’ve never been to; I’ve made portraits of characters I don’t even know; I’m building a culture with its own religion, myths, economy, nobility – its own ways of understanding the world – without knowing how; I’m conceiving stories and drawing maps that are still in my mind. I’ve basically spent the last twenty years of my life working on a grand project that I’ve slowly pieced together, without really knowing what it is. It’s like putting together a puzzle without knowing the final image and believing it’s all going to make sense.
But I’ve come to realize that it’s the stories that make sense of the Grand Puzzle. These narratives are the reason for the music, art, and random things I’ve created throughout the years. Looking back, I wish I had started with those stories, written them down and published a book. The music and art that followed would’ve made more sense. But at that time I was pretty naive, and those stories would’ve been horrendous. I simply didn’t know what I know now. Either way I’m hoping to make sense of it all one day, and that’s what this website is about. It’s about this journey I’ve been on and what I’ve experienced. It’s about what I’m exploring now and where I’d like to go. This website is devoted to all these things and so much more.
Thanks for reading.
